Software development company Uptime, which operates in Estonia, Norway, Switzerland and Macedonia, invested on the Danish market by acquiring 51% stake in West Soft Development A/S at the beginning of July 2018.

The main results of joining the forces are investments for expanding the company in region and better service for clients with more resources.

“Denmark has been on our radar for some time,” commented Eero Tohver, CEO of Uptime, “We have found a good team in West Soft Development, whose values are fitting together with ours and the skills of both of us will help complement each other.” 

With investment from Uptime, company will expand and grow in region as special software developer. 

“By joining forces, we get access to more resources and knowledge, and it is also very good for our clients. Together with Uptime we can provide much wider variety of software services,” said Ronni Madsen, CEO of West Soft Development. “We will clearly focus in our Danish clients also in the future, and we can do it with more strength and with international support,” added Ronni Madsen.  

Uptime is interested in special software development for customers in the Triangle Region, where West Soft Development is located. Both companies can help each other to expand the skills base, provide more resources for development, and to use Uptime’s experience in many international projects. 

“We are entering the Danish market and providing software services is very important for us in the new region,” added Eero Tohver, “we consider the Triangle Region in Denmark to be a very important fast-growing region to be present.” 

A total of nine people works in West Soft Development now. Company is nominated as the Gazelle Company in 2016 and 2017 by the Danish economics newspaper Børsen. Gazelles are the fastest growing successful small businesses with annual growth over 20% for four years or more.
